Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow[]
In Aria of Sorrow, increasing STR increases the damage of both hand-held weapons and Bullet Souls. Soma Cruz can obtain dominance over a number of types of Soul that give him boosts to his strength when equipped. One type is a series of Enchanted Souls that give flat boosts to STR as a passive buff:
- Knight's Power - Skeleton Knight (STR +4)
- Fighter's Power - Minotaur (STR +8)
- Great General's Power - Golem (STR +12)
- Battle God's Power - Triton (STR +16)
There is also the Guardian Soul of the Great Armor, which is actually called Strength Booster and works differently to the others. Rather than providing a passive boost, this only increases STR while it is activated, and drains a substantial 60 MP/sec during this time. The boost is also not a fixed amount, and is described in a slightly misleading way: the Soul increases Soma's STR to 120%, not by 120% as the wording implies. In other words, if Soma's current STR is 50 and he activates Strength Booster his STR will increase to 60, not 110.
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow/Castlevania: Harmony of Despair[]
In Dawn of Sorrow and Harmony of Despair, Soma is able to gain this ability from a Golem's and Minotaur's souls respectively, and the more such souls he has, the more powerful the effect.
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin[]
STR Boost is one of Charlotte Aulin's magic spell skills in Portrait of Ruin. When cast, it boosts STR temporarily. A regular cast boosts STR +15, while a fully charged cast boosts STR +30.
Jonathan Morris has a counterpart for it, named Offensive Form.
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia[]
Vis Fio is a back glyph that increases Shanoa's strength. This bonus scales as her STR stat increases, and thus, grows in power as she levels up.
