The Sea Stinger is an enemy in Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. They are carnivorous and disturbingly agile fish creatures.

Sea Stingers populate the waters of the Kalidus Channel. They swim in infinite numbers along the water's surface and leap out in an arc, only to plunge back into the ocean and continue their way.

Even though they usually die in one hit from most weapons, and not really posing a threat individually, it's the vast numbers they attack with what can make the areas they appear in difficult to traverse, as it can only take a single missed hit to send the player into the water, where the rest of the shoal could make it difficult to get back to solid ground.

Description "A carnivorous and disturbingly agile fish creature."

  • The Sea Stinger bears a notable physical resemblance to the Spearfish from Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, although both attack in very different ways, with the latter having an attack behavior and patterns more akin to the more common Killer Fish seen in most other games.
    • Furthermore, the Spearfish resembles more the real life swordfish, whereas the Sea Stinger resembles the marlin, which is the only of both species that –among its varieties– may feature a tall and long dorsal fin. In addition, the Sea Singer doesn't have any other fins, besides the aforementioned dorsal one and those from its tail.
