The Skeleton Glass is an enemy in Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance. These strange creatures burst out from glass capsules in the background.

Description[]

The Skeleton Glass fights much like other skeletons but is worth far more experience and drops large money bags and Rubies. When Juste reaches close to a containment tube, the skeleton shatters the glass tube and begins its assault. Like other skeletons, it strafes forward and back while occasionally launching a bone upward, screeching as it does so. At times, the creature may remove its head and launch it directly at Juste. The head does not return after this, being a one time attack for the skeleton. Despite losing its head, the skeleton continues with its bone assault.

These creatures seem to be the result of bizarre experiments as they are found contained inside of tube-like capsules filled with an unknown liquid, with their skulls replaced by a large eyeball instead. They are only encountered in a large room in the Skeleton Cave (Castle A), up to three at one time.

These enemies are worth large amounts of EXP and are very easy to kill, making the room where they appear in a good place to level up. It is recommended to wear all of the player's Luck-boosting accessories to also make them drop $250 bags and Rubies while farming them.

As Juste reaches higher levels (around 40+), the experience they give will decrease significantly. When the player reaches level 45, all Skeleton Glasses will award only 1 EXP.

Trivia[]

  • The Skeleton Glass resembles the Alien from Contra: Hard Corps, another title from Konami. Like the Skeleton Glass, it also breaks out of a glass container and attacks the player.
  • The internal name for this creature is GLASS SKELTON. The name is listed under the "TAKEDA" menu in the Harmony of Dissonance debug menu, meaning Takashi Takeda worked on its enemy programming. This would explain the two aforementioned creature's similarities.
