The Skeleton Leader is a boss in the Saturn version of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. He is the leader of the skeleton soldiers. Its bones were torn apart during a duel in the castle.
Description[]
The Skeleton Leader is a boss version of the Skeleton Soldier. It is portrayed as an armored and long-haired skeleton who brandishes a longsword.
Despite his relatively low HP, his attacks can make him a formidable foe:
- Charges at the player by pointing his weapon forward, poisoning them on contact.
- Uses his weapon to summon a ray of light.
- Throws shurikens and sticks of dynamite, sometimes releasing several of them when taking damage.
Whenever he manages to inflict damage to the player, he will mock them, which gives the player an opportunity to attack him.
When he dies, he will disappear in a big fire explosion.

Trivia[]
- To date, it is the only skeletal monster in the series to keep his hair.
- His ray of light attack is probably inspired by that of Mecha-Garamoth in Kid Dracula.
