Skulls of humans or animals that float around and deal damage to the player. There are many different kinds of skulls in Castlevania. Many of these skulls are also ghosts. Some bosses are accompanied by skulls, such as Olrox and Adramelech.
Death's second form in Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse is that of a giant skull.
