In Dawn of Sorrow, Spears are a weapon class referred to as Polearms. The weapon called "Spear" is the most basic entity in this class.

Castlevania: Curse of Darkness[]

While there's no weapon called "Spear" in Curse of Darkness, "Spears" is a weapon class that includes all pole shaped long range weapons.
