The Spirit Orb is a relic that displays the amount of damage done to enemies in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. It is called a Soul Orb in Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance. This allows the player to experiment with different kinds of attacks to find out what is most effective against a given enemy. The ability to view damage done to enemies is always on for the unlockable characters Richter, Maria, and Maxim in these games. Most later games did not require the use of an orb to display this information.
