Stolas is an enemy in the Castlevania series. He is a wise, old creature said to have considerable intelligence.

Stolas (also known as Stolos or Solas) is a Great Prince of Hell. He commands twenty-six legions of demons and teaches the art of Astronomy, the knowledge of poisonous plants and the virtues of herbs and precious stones.
He is usually depicted as either a crowned owl with long legs, a raven or a man.

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow[]
In Aria of Sorrow, Stolas has red feet and a yellow beak; the rest of his feathered body is white. He wears a golden crown atop his head and has two pairs of wings. He continually walks forward as he summons creatures and will kick the player if near enough. When summoning creatures, his head will spin 360 degrees once.
There are two types of these monsters, one which summons Dead Crusaders and Skeleton Knights, and another which summons Red Minotaurs. There is no difference in appearance, however, it's based on location. In the Chaotic Realm, it will summon the Minotaurs instead.

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow[]
In Dawn of Sorrow, Stolas's feathers are brown and he wears a crown of white and brown plumes. In this incarnation, he appears to boast three pairs of wings. He primarily summons Erinyes and occasionally a Devil or a Flame Demon. If close enough to the player, it may emit a Ripple Laser attack.
While there are more prolific places to level up in the game (such as the Mermen room in the Wizardry Lab), Stolas is still a good source of easy EXP, as the player can infinitely keep killing the monsters he summons, as long as they don't kill Stolas himself. Erinyes, which he summons the most, give a high amount of experience and using the Death Scythe will likely kill them in just one hit (depending on the player's stats).

- The ultrasonic attack that Stolas emits in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow is a reference to the Ripple Laser, one of the Laser types the player can equip for the Vic Viper in most Gradius games.
