The Stone Skull (Spin Head (スピンヘッド?) in the Japanese version) is an enemy in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. It is an indestructible giant spinning skull found in various locations inside the Reverse Castle.

Description

Giant spinning skulls that float up and down in the air. It is not explained whether they are referred to as "stone" due to how hard their surface is, or if they are fossils of gigantic creatures, or if they are actually made of stone.

They are indestructible and cannot be defeated by any means. Their main purpose is to act as minor obstacles in the areas they appear in.

There are two variants, one resembling a giant humanoid yellow skull, and another which resembles that of a bovine. Both move following the same pattern, the only difference being the locations where they are encountered at.
