The Storigoi Graveyard (ストリゴイ墓地 Sutorigoi Bochi?, lit. "Strigoi Cemetery"), more accurately called Strigoi Graveyard as seen in the Castlevania Anniversary Collection, is a location in Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. It can be entered by heading west from the lower path of the Sadam Woods. At its end, Simon Belmont can summon a Gypsy with Garlic, who will give him a Silk Bag. This bag increases the total amount of Laurels Simon is able to carry. There is nothing beyond this graveyard, though, so the player has to turn back.

Trivia[]

  • The name of this graveyard is an awkward translation of the katakana for strigoi, the traditional undead Romanian vampire.
  • According to a tool-assisted speedrun, the left side of this area will dump the player to Joma Marsh, at the left entrance of Laruba Mansion. The only possible method is to lure a Slime to close to the wall, then take damage and bounce off it.

References[]

  1. A traveling Gypsy will appear if placing a clove of Garlic on the western area of the cemetery. She will give a Silk Bag to the player when spoken to.
