The same classic arsenal from past games is also present in Castlevania Chronicles, but with the addition of a unique "sub-weapon": the Herb. When picked up, this item will occupy the slot reserved for sub-weapons and will restore about half of the player's maximum HP amount for 10 Hearts when activated. Sub-Weapons are referred to as Attack Items in the US instruction booklet.
