I think that this art is not Devil Familiar art. This art is Belphegor. Possible Shinkigensha guide artwork is unrelated to Castlevania, Random art.--Kiyuhito 14:11, February 22, 2012 (UTC)
Good find for the original source of the artwork. It was used on a page that talked only about the familiars and is alongside artwork of the Bat, Ghost, and Fairy familiars, so I think it is artwork that is at least intended to represent the Devil familiar on that page.--Reinhart77 18:22, February 25, 2012 (UTC)
Another Attack[]
It isn't mentioned in the article, but my Devil familiar has also been able to use magic (a fire spell, at least). I'm not sure what the conditions for this are, but I think that it's level-dependant.
We'll need some kind of citation for this before it's put in the article. Shadowmaster (Contribs) 23:25, July 11, 2012 (UTC)
I've left my demon attacking the infinitely respawning zombies for a while today, and it is now casting "Fire Spear", "Ice Spear", and "Thunder Spear" periodically.Current level on it is 64, but I think it started casting "Thunder Spear" at around 50, and had ice well before that. Each attack is accompanied by a voice-acted call of its name. Gamespot and castlevaniacrypt.com confirm these as being normal level-based attack gains, but I couldn't find a list of what levels unlock them. In addition to elemental damage, the spells have farther range than the Demon's standard attack, particularly "Thunder Spear". Kefke Wren (talk) 21:07, October 6, 2012 (UTC)
Wait... gamercorner.net says this,
"The Devil familiar has two basic attacks, with base ATT ratings of 5 and 10, both dealing CUT-type damage. It gains a Fire-based attack at level 20, an Ice-based attack at level 40, and a Thunder-based attack at level 60, all of which have a base ATT of 30. At level 80, it gains another Thunder-based attack with an ATT of 45."
