Birth date[]
The American manual says John was born in Texas in 1895. Is this also mentioned in any Japanese material? --Nagumo baby (talk) 19:03, December 5, 2013 (UTC)
It is the same. Castlevania Realm--Kiyuhito (talk) 04:31, December 6, 2013 (UTC)--P.S. Vampire Killer (SEGA Mega Drive game) haven't official guide.--Kiyuhito (talk) 05:43, December 6, 2013 (UTC)
Morgan's nationality[]
Its says he is a elderly Native American, can i ask how was this idea formed, I am not saying its wrong but,
in the docx is calls him " senior Indian Morgan of cow family".
This would lead one to believe that Morgan is in fact of Indian descent, not Native American. As the cow is Sacred in Indian religions.
And as the Morris clan where active in England, It would not be to much of a stretch to believe they would have an old friend from India.
also the name Morgan is unisex celtic name more specifically of Welsh and Breton origin. as well the meaning of his name is Sea chief or Famous magic. when the name is given to men.
This links in with both John's Water Dragon attack.
And the fact the docx says "And learned many so sorceries from senior Indian Morgan of cow family"
And as we know Many Indians and British intermarried.
So this implies Morgan has some sort of roots to Europe. Again tying in to the fact that the Morris spent time in England.
So with this information i ask you, should we change Morgan's nationality from Native American to Indian?
Thank you
In MegaDriveFAN, the kind of magic John has been taught is said to be "インディアン". In Japanese, インディアン is used to refer to Native Americans. When talking about people and things from India, インド is used. Nagumo baby (talk) 15:43, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
But that still does not add up with the info seen in the fax.
As it said of "cow family", and cows are Sacred in Indian religions, so why would you link this to Native Americans and this came from the fax, it sounds more like a misunderstanding on MegaDriveFAN's end.
And as we know game magazines, are not always the best source of information. story elements often get misunderstood, you can never trust a game magazine 100% as they will often get things like this wrong. But this fax came RIGHT from Konami.
And i feel that a Fax From Konami that calls him indain and of cow family trumps a game magazine, as they will often make mistakes, it could have been that someone at Megafan got the wrong end of the stick? And id like to see a translation of what Megafan said if there is one? cos this just does not make snese, why they would link the the indian religion to another culture?
Thank you
