Tera's sister (unofficial name) is a minor character in the Netflix original animated series, Castlevania: Nocturne. Both she and her older sister, Tera, were members of a group of Speakers traveling Russia who temporarily settled in an impoverished village to help them, as they were cruelly treated. One day, they were attacked by soldiers, and she was made a prisoner and turned into a vampire.
History[]
The younger and little-known sister of Tera. Not much is known about her background, other than she was a member of a clan of Speakers hailing from Russia who temporarily settled on a village to lend them help (presumably during the winter), as those in power cruelly treated them. As a Speaker, she could be seen partaking in some of their usual activities, such as nursing and preparing medicinal herbs. However, it seems she still hadn't learned to use magic, or at least not proficiently yet.
One day, a troop of soldiers, comprising both humans and vampires alike, led by the terrible Drolta Tzuentes, attacked the village, killing almost everyone and taking most of the survivors prisoner - Tera's sister being one of them. Tera managed to escape the attack, but her sister didn't; shortly afterward, she went to the castle in the mountains, where they kept all the prisoners in a rescue attempt. Tera broke into the castle's dungeon where all the prisoners were being held, and among them, she found her sister. Glad and greatly relieved to see her still alive, she rushed to cut her bindings; however, as she approached her, her sister made a horrible grinning expression, showing her new vampire fangs. At that moment, Erzsebet Báthory suddenly entered the dungeon and discovered Tera. Dismayed, the Speaker heartbrokenly plunged a knife into her sister's heart to put her out of her misery and then jumped out the window and escaped toward the west.
Appearance[]
Tera's sister has a heavy resemblance to her elder sibling, or, due to their similar ages, an even greater resemblance to how Maria would look like years later, only having a different hairstyle. She is blond, has big emerald green eyes, and has straight hair fashioned in a bob style. She wears a unique variant of the common Speaker robe consisting of a blue hooded vest with white linings that is worn over a more common two-piece peasant attire that consists of a white shirt with long sleeves and a black dress held with a red strip. She is usually seen with the hood on.
Personality[]
She seems to have been a very kind, amicable, and joyful girl who was always ready to learn new things and lend a helping hand to those who needed it.
As shown before her sister mercifully killed her, it's been implied that she was tortured by Erzsebet Báthory and had become warped during her time in captivity, as shown when she gave her sister a disturbed-maniacal smile upon discovering her in Erzsebet's castle.
