Tomoko Sano (佐野 朋子 Sano Tomoko?), also known by the pseudonym Sanoppi, is a composer who formerly worked for Konami.

She composed Requiem, Dark Desires, Dance of Illusions, Mary Samba, Former Room and demo scenes from the 1993 NEC PC Engine game Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, as well as participating on the soundtrack Akumajō Dracula X.

Biography

Tomoko Sano was born in Narashino, Chiba Prefecture, Japan and spent her early years in Hokkaido. She started playing piano from the age of four. She studied composition at the University of Music. After graduating, she began working for major game companies as music and sound effects producer. After leaving, she continued working as a freelancer.

In the late 1990s, she joined an Irish music band where she played classic Irish music at special events, visits to facilities, and the like. She began teaching DTM, piano and composition at the music school, while also creating music as a freelancer in the meantime.

In 2002, she was in charge for the Ryuteki Shinto wedding. In 2004, she participated in a band of ghazal music and also learned to play the harmonium by herself.

In 2011, she toured to Marina Ahmad Alam Ms. Japan, performing North Indian classical vocal music, where she participated as a harmonium accompanist. From 2000, she could be found in the crystal bowl, where she played for many years.

In addition to creating music for digital media such as games, reading and dance, she also actively collaborates in other fields. As a healing sound researcher, crystal bowl and Ryuteki, Sano has been pursuing a "force to continue to expand consciousness" with sound.
