Anthropomorphic and possessed trees can be found in several Castlevania games. The first such creatures were Dryads that protruded and took the form of the trees they inhabited. Dryad infested trees appeared in Castlevania: Circle of the Moon as withered tree that create "Puff ball" seeds that slowly move towards you. They later took the form of a stationary woman-tree in Aria of Sorrow.

Boku Dracula-Kun featured an anthropomorphic Cactus that could move around and shoot needles at you in the deserts of Egypt.

A fruit trees from hell called Human Face Tree (Japanese: じんめんじゅ Jinmenju) appeared in the garden stages in the Sega Saturn version of Symphony of the Night. Its fruit will instantly kill anyone who eats it, and the tree will kill anyone who tries to kill it as well.

Wak Wak Trees appeared in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. Flea Men grew on their branches like fruit, and would be released once fully grown.

A giant walking tree called a Treant first appeared in Dawn of Sorrow, in the Garden of Madness stage (perhaps as a replacement for the Wooden Golem and Dryad). They are based on the Dungeons & Dragons Treant monster, which in turn is based on J. R. R. Tolkien's Ents. They behave almost exactly like the Golem, but do not fire anything from their mouth and are a little bit faster. A Treant also guards the Magic Seal 2.

In Portrait of Ruin, Treants appear in the Forest of Doom stage. Here, they drop the Club Card, which is necessary for one of Wind's quests. They have the same appearance as their Dawn of Sorrow counterparts, only a bit darker.
