- "The Tymeo range is the largest in the region, rumored to be a nesting ground for terrible creatures. Hikers foolish enough to traverse these peaks tell of strange howling that can be heard from the many caverns below."
- — In-game description
Tymeo Mountains is a location in Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia.
Overview[]
One of the largest stages in the game. Tymeo is a long range of mountains rumored to have become the nesting ground of many terrible creatures. The level in comprised by two main areas: a long section divided along many screens that makes for the inclined surface of the mountainside, and a complex of underground caverns.
After climbing to the top of the second long vertical room, the player will find a gap that is too big to make it across with a single jump, so they'll have to exit through the only currently available exit of this level and come back later, once they have obtained the necessary means to make it across this gap and then be able to explore the rest of the level. Due to this peculiarity, Tymeo is notorious for being one of the few stages that have more than two entrances/exits (it has three entrances; only surpassed by Kalidus Channel which has four).
As mentioned, in order to explore this stage in its entirety, it actually has to be visited twice during a playthrough. While this is completely optional, it's also the only way to achieve the best ending, as another one of the Belmont descendants, Marcel, is found somewhere among these latter areas.

Notes[]
- Crouching between the two candle holders in the very first room (lower right entrance) will make a blue treasure chest to appear containing Blue Drops.
- The Empress Ring can be found in a secret room behind a breakable wall located in the first vertical room of the initial cavern area.
- The Emperor Ring is found in the uppermost, largest room, in a cavern where you have to crouch to make a blue chest appear.
- Some of the rooms of this level have Crows in them, which provide an easy way to complete Irina's first quest, "Vicious Crows", which requires the player to kill 30 Crows. This can be easily done by finding a room that has an easy to kill Crow, exit and re-enter it, kill another Crow, and so on until the required quota is reached.
- The gypsy jeweler, Laura, can be found trapped in a Torpor prison inside a room on the right side of the third big vertical area (just before reaching the stage's first Warp Point).
- The journalist, Marcel, is found in the upper-right entrance/exit room. His location can only be reached after revisiting this area having at least the Ordinary Rock in one's possession.
