The Viper Swarm is an enemy in Super Castlevania IV.
Description[]
A revolting entanglement of snakes that hangs on the ceiling in wait for prey. When approached, it will drop down and slowly slither on the ground still in tack as a swarm. It will also pursue if the player attempts to avoid it. They are encountered in the Ruined Mansion, shortly after entering the stables.
A similar enemy, the Poison Worm, appears in Castlevania: Circle of the Moon.
