The Were-Panther Skeleton, also known as Wereskeleton, is an enemy in the Castlevania series. It is the reanimated skeleton of a Were-Panther.

Description

Were-Panther Skeletons are the reanimated remains of a Were-Panther. These enemies have appeared in Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, Castlevania: Dracula X and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

There are two types:

Beast form
This type moves in all fours like an animal and charges at the player when approached. It behaves and attacks almost identical to a Black Panther.
Human form
This type paces back and forth in an upright stance. When approached, it extends its neck and lashes it in a whip-like manner. After a while, it will open its rib cage and send out a large barrage of bones in an arcing pattern that are harmful to the touch.

A special variant called Wolf Skeleton starts appearing from Mortvia Aqueduct and onward in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. Described as the corpse of a Fenrir revived as a zombie, it can hide inside its own shadow and move freely underground until it leaps out to attack.
