The Zircon is generally the least valuable Jewel found in the Castlevania series. It is in contrast to the Diamond, which it can sometimes be mistaken for, which is generally the most valuable jewel.
Its first appearance was in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night as a "Sparkling Ring". It could be sold to the Master Librarian for 150 Gold, which is lower than any other jeweled ring, and lower than the next more valuable ring, Aquamarine (800G). About two thirds of the jewels dropped by the Jewel Sword are Zircon.
In Castlevania: Lament of Innocence, it is again the least valuable Jewel (400G) and is half as valuable as the Turquoise. Using a Zircon with the Jewel Crush item will award a random amount of Gold. Luck will determine the likeliness of whether the player gets more or less Gold than if they were to just sell it. There are maximum "jackpot" amounts of Gold obtainable depending on the player's level, such as 999G or 7,777G.
In Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, it is the only jewel that has no use in any of the villagers' quests. It can only be sold for a low price.
