The Zweihander is the third two-handed Great Sword in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night that possesses a slow swing and a special Step Attack move. It is an upgraded version of the Flamberge, but slightly weaker than the Obsidian Sword. It is also more powerful than the special Great Swords, Sword of Dawn (can summon allies) and the Estoc (always thrusts).

Trivia[]
- The Obsidian Sword's icon and animation in Symphony of the Night seems to be recolors of the Zwei Hander, which is probably intentional as the Obsidian Sword is an upgrade of the Zwei Hander in every aspect.
- The Zwei Hander from Symphony of the Night, as it looks like a sword encased in a light blue material, bears some resemblance to the Moonlight Sword, an iconic recurring weapon that has appeared in one form or another in all games produced by FromSoftware, starting from the King's Field series.
